I’ve gotten some character portraits made from the artwork in the Shadowrun Fifth Edition sourcebook. I’ve already uploaded them on the Steam Workshop and on ModNexus. I’ll be adding them here as well shortly.
I’ve updated the debug room to version 1.0.3a. It should include spells, missing cyberware and a combat testing room to test your characters before importing them to an adventure. Check it out and feel free to leave some comments and suggestions.
I’ve been quiet the past few days, I know. Just been working on my adventure and updating the Debug Room as problems are being found. The download link have been updated to download the proper one. Back to working on my adventure. Any feedback you guys send would be great.
I created a debug room to create a character above the normal starting stats. It also allows you to add nuyen, karma and equipment of your choice. I haven’t tested it fully yet, but if it fucks up your save, it’s not my fault. Use this at your own risk. You have been warned. I’ll be posting it in a bit.
I also noticed that I reached over 1,000 visits to this site. Thank you all for your help!
Well, I think I’m about ready to publish this thing for you guys to check out. It’s short and small, but it’s also only one scene that I’ve gotten done. So don’t expect too much from it. There are some choices and such there that you guys might like. There are some problems that are still being worked out, but for the most part, it works as intended and I’m going to be moving onto the next scene. Once I have the entire thing finished, I’ll be publishing it as version 1, but I will be going back through to fine tune and polish the adventure. I’ll be publishing what I’ve got so far here shortly, so stay tuned!
Well, I was hoping to get the scene finished tonight, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. I keep running into some tiny little annoyances with the triggers working one minute and not working the next among other small things. I have made some progress on it though, so it hasn’t been a total loss. I would say that it’s about 97% finished and I can move on to scene two. Whenever I get this thing finished, I’ll post the first scene for everyone. I can use the feedback since this will be my first attempt at using this editor and getting use to how it works.
I have worked hard on learning the editor program and figuring out how everything works. A lot of this progress is slow due to a lot of trial and error. Also, aligning things up so that they look right is another time-consuming effort. Overall though, I really enjoy the editor. It’s a lot easier than I thought it was going to be and I’m already almost finished with the first scene of the adventure. I’ve just got two more conversations to write out and then some fine tweaking and decorating. Once I’ve got everything setup and the first scene is finished, I’ll upload what I’ve gotten done so you guys can all take a look and give your feed back. I can use the comments especially when it comes to keeping with canon and the theme of the Shadowrun material. If I keep going on the same pace that I’m on now, I should have the first scene finished tomorrow (tonight since it’s after midnight) and once it’s done, I’ll get it posted.
Well, I decided to take a break from the game and mess around with the level editor. I’ve made some progress on learning to use it and make things work the way that I want. It’s slow going while I work on this, still working on the starting scene to get everything just the way I want it to work. I’m starting on making the run Supernova published by FASA in the First Run sourcebook. I’ve figured out the triggers, goals, adding characters, making a phone conversation and making searchable stuff. Right now I’m working on how to use a trigger to swap out props. There’s already some user made runs on the Steam Workshop that you should check out as well as some pretty awesome custom props and such.
Well, I spent the first day of the Shadowrun Returns release date playing the game for twelve hours straight. I love the game and once I finish the Dead Drop story that came with the game, I will start working on figuring out and learning the game editor to start working on making some adventures. I’m going to be working on an official adventure while I learn about the editor.
