The Art of Shadowrun Returns

I know that this has already started and has been going on for three days, but it’s not over until August, so it still applies.

Art Show Flyer

We’re really proud of the Shadowrun Returns art team and excited that they have the opportunity to show off some of their work with an art show at the Raygun Lounge on Capitol Hill in Seattle. The show includes a large selection of art and concepts from the game as well as personal contributions by members of the art team.

If you’re in the Seattle area, come join us tomorrow night starting at 6pm for the opening of the show! Make sure to check out the pieces down the street at Gamma Ray Games, too.

Shadowrun Returns

Welcome chummers,

Welcome to JackPoint DarkNet. This site is the future home for the various Adventure Modules (or whatever the frag they’re gonna be called) for the upcoming game Shadowrun Returns which is being released by Harebrained Schemes LLC on July 25th, 2013. You may be asking yourself “What is Shadowrun Returns? I’ve never heard of it before.” That’s alright. According to the Harebrained Schemes website, Shadowrun Returns is described as:

The unique cyberpunk-meets-fantasy world of Shadowrun has gained a huge cult following since its creation nearly 25 years ago. Now, creator Jordan Weisman returns to the world of Shadowrun, modernizing this classic game setting as a single player, turn-based tactical RPG.

The great thing about this game is that it comes with a Level Editor which I plan on using to recreate the various run sourcebooks that have been published over the years, starting with First Run, which is an adventure sourcebook that was published for Shadowrun 3rd Edition that has 1st Edition adventures converted to 3rd Edition rules and is intended for new runners. I hope to blog a bit about the progress I make as I work on each adventure. So, subscribe to this site and check back often. Also be sure to check out the added links and the Shadowrun Returns Alpha gameplay footage that are located below.
